The Healthy Breakfast Smoothie That Fills You Until Lunchtime

Ingredients
  • 1 Mango
  • Orange Juice
  • Handful of strawberries
  • 2 Passion fruit
  • 1 Actimel (or some plain yoghurt)

I don't know about you but I find it a massive pain in the hole trying to eat fruit. So time consuming and so good for you but I can never really be arsed. I also find that breakfast is a huge head fuck. If you don't like cereal you end up eating croissants or scones in the coffee shops. You always end up hungry by 11am and trying to make anything fancy comes second to getting your underwear on the right way round. All is not lost though because I have something that will not only solve all those problems but also give you an insane health buzz. It's a smoothie that is so healthy it'll make you skip in to work and so filling you'll not even think about lunch until...well lunch time. All you need is a shitty little blender (my one cost 30 quid in Harvey Norman) and the clean up is super easy. All your prayers have been answered and if you have this 5 days in a row you'll literally see the weight dropping off you and the energy coming back in to your body!

Instructions

Step 1

Take the tops off the strawberries. An idiot could do this.

Chop the passion fruit in half. The insides look a little gross.

Use a spoon to scoop the shitty looking insides out

This is the hard part. Place the nice ripe (make sure it is soft when you go to buy it as the supermarkets will try to fuck you over with unripe ones) mango on the chopping board.

Chop the top and bottom off. This is so as you can place it on the chopping board without it sliding everywhere.

Step 6

Use a knife (or a peeler if you are less confident with a big sharp knife) to take the skin away from the outside.

You'll end up with a lovely big juicy mango. Now in the middle is a weirdly shaped stone. You need to use the knife to get as much of the flesh away from the mango as possible. I'd love to say this is an exact science but it isn't.

Step 8

Lash all the fruit in to the blender.

Pour in the juice and the Actimel.

Blend the shit out of it for about 2 minutes. The longer you blend the smoother it gets.

Serve it up and drink it straight away. It takes absolutely amazing. You actually won't believe just how good. Even better you will have had most of your 5 a day before 8 o'clock.
