If you haven't heard of a spiralizer yet, you must have been living under a rock for the past while...
They are a magical kitchen gadget that come in all shapes and sizes; some look like a large pencil sharpener while others come complete with a mechanical handle and different sized blades. They vary in price from €15 - €60, depending on how fancy you want to go, and can be bought in most department stores.
Not only are they amazing for making garnishes and decorations for dishes, but they enable you to make noodles from just about anything.
Zoodles would be the most popular dish (that's zucchini noodles to normal folk - however, considering zucchinis are actually called courgettes in Ireland, we should probably we call them coodles!) but you can also spiralize sweet potatoes, cucumbers, beetroot, carrots, apples and so on.
They're favoured by people on low carb and gluten free diets as you can instantly make a healthy carbohydrate replacement with zero guilt attached.
