Avocado and Pear Smoothie

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 small pears
  • 1 large handful spinach
  • Milk

While we love the odd food indulgence or two here in Lovin Dublin, we think eating is all about balance and that healthy food should be as quick, easy and accessible as unhealthy food often is. This super healthy smoothie only has four ingredients and takes minutes to make.

If you're always rushing out the door in the morning with no time to make a proper breakfast, why not try blitzing this up and see how good you feel afterwards. This is a great creamy and filling smoothie thanks to the avocado and milk. The spinach will give your whack of green goodness and the pear will keep it tasting sweet and delicious.


Step 1

Just four simple ingredients.

Slice a strip of skin off the avocado.

Then peel back the rest of the skin.

Slice around the stone of the avocado.

Pull out the stone.

Peel your pears if you want, but the skins are perfectly good to eat too.

Stuff the avocado, pear and spinach into your blender.

Pour in about half a cup of milk.

Blitz it all up until smooth and creamy. If it's a little too thick, just add some more milk and blitz again. If you don't have a smoothie blender you can use a hand blender in a bowl instead- just watch out for splashes!
