Something for those of you on a health buzz today, but who still want to get the feeling of treating yourselves.
These killer little spicy beef wraps taste absolutely amazing and with the weather warming up, they make the perfect summer treat for outside eating.
The other great thing about them is they are ready in less than 10 minutes… You’re welcome.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a good quality fillet steak. The hotter the sauce the better as well.
Step 2
Slice the red onions up as finely as you possibly can.
Step 3
Grate the carrot. I have a super fine grater, but any size will do.
Step 4
For the slaw, lash the onions and the carrots into a bowl along with some chopped coriander.
Step 5
Squeeze in a couple of limes.
Step 6
Add a touch of olive oil to bind it all together along with some salt and pepper.
Step 7
Pick away any rough outer leaves and choose the best ones.
Step 8
Lash the slaw into the leaves and plate them up, so as you’re ready to bring to the table as soon as the beef is cooked.
Step 9
Season the beef with some salt and pepper. Dice up the garlic. Slice the fillet steak into super thin pieces.
Step 10
Lash a large pan on a high heat. This is all about cooking it as quickly as possible. Start with the garlic for about 10 seconds and then fire in the beef.
Step 11
The beef won’t take more than 30 seconds to a minute to cook. All you are doing is sealing in the juices. Whip it off the heat and lash on some hot sauce. Just enough to coat it.
Step 12
Take the beef off the heat and let it rest for about a minute on a chopping board.
Step 13
Pop the beef into the little salad parcels and serve up immediately. Absolutely unreal.
See, good cooking doesn’t have to be complicated.
Watch your friends faces light up when they bite into these. Or better still, keep them all for yourself.
