Try Something New This Festive Season With This Sesame, Ginger and Soya Sprouts Recipe


  • 2 bags of Brussels sprouts washed, stalk trimmed and sliced thin
  • 2 red onions peeled and sliced
  • 2 handfuls of sesame seeds
  • 8 tbsps of soya sauce
  • 1 small knob of ginger
  • Pinch of sea salt and cracked black pepper

Brussel sprouts – you either love ’em or you hate ’em…

But now has come the time to truly embrace the humble sprout.

Your Christmas feast wouldn’t be complete without this intriging recipe.


Step 1

In a smoking hot wok, with some oil, sweat off your sliced onions for 2 minutes on a medium high heat. Then add your brussels sprouts and sweat them down for a further 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 2

Add in the soya and sesame seeds and grate in the ginger. Cook it all down on a low heat for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Finish off with a seasoning of salt and cracked black pepper and serve.
