The decor in here is so warm and welcoming, the food is top notch, and they do a French brunch at weekends – really tasty!
L’Gueuleton is a fantastic spot for a chilled out brunch where you don’t have to worry about eating fast and moving on under the pressure of a line of hungry guests eyeballing your table. It’s quite the opposite. The menu is classic French, this is not the place to go for a side of pulled pork or beans with your eggs. However, that’s not to say that the menu isn’t both interesting and delicious. I ordered the Eggs Florentine and it was just perfect, exactly what I was craving. Perfectly poached eggs and smoked salmon on top of delicious homemade Guinness bread really hit the spot. It was so simple, but just what I wanted. What’s nice about these classic dishes is that they’re a little bit lighter than most brunch dishes, you don’t roll home feeling like you’ve eaten your entire daily allowance of calories in one sitting.
The best thing about this place was the chilled out vibe. We nabbed a window seat and ate slowly as we people watched all the glamorous people of Dublin outside. Definitely one of my new favourites, check it out this weekend if you’re in the city centre.
