There are so many ways for a restaurant to promote themselves these days but we’ve longed argued that one of the best is Instagram. It is by far the most visual of all the social networks and with most chefs and waiting staff owning a smart phone you’d be a bit of a gobshite for not sharing all the lovely food and drinks being served in your premises. We’ve collected 10 of the best accounts from around Dublin for you to drool over with the hope that it inspires even more restauranteurs to get the finger out and start taking food porn photos. Flick through these accounts and try to not lick your screen!!
FaatBaat
Pretty new to the restaurant scene in Dublin this super hip spot on Dawson Street serves up epic Asian food and if you haven’t been yet you’ll defo be going in after seeing their amazing food porn pics.
Seapoint
Quite a bit out of town but they make the list for sharing such yummy snaps. Well worth ditching the car, jumping on the DART and heading out here for some top notch grub.
Super Miss Sue
We wrote about the opening a couple of weeks ago and Dubliner’s are flocking to this city centre fish / gin / Campari bar or simply to grab some fish and chips. Warning…the photos will make you super hungry.
Pichet
This restaurant best known for front of house Master Chef host Nick Meunier has not one put two chefs taking pictures. We’d love to see every other chef in Dublin sharing like this because it shows their passion for their food. The quality of the ingredients and the hard work that goes in behind the scenes is what you see most in these pics. A must follow.
Beshoffs
So this is more a shop and a fish mongers than a restaurant but the quality of their ingredients and the passion that comes through in the photos makes it well worth following.
Opium
Another fairly new addition to the Dublin restaurant scene Opium serve great cocktails and really high end Asian food. Very popular with the “In” crowd and lots of slick photos posted here.
777
This is probably the most hip restaurant in Dublin and when they are not making us drool with their photos they are posting delicious looking cocktails.
Vintage Cocktail Club
Probably best known for their cocktails as you would guess from their name but the food aint half bad either. I challenge you to follow this account for more than a week and not want to go and eat there.
Cheesecake Dublin
Not what you want to see in your Instagram feed if you are trying to be good in January but if like me you couldn’t give a toss lash them into your feed and prepare to drool at their amazing cheesecakes.
Forest Avenue
The latest restaurant that I reviewed and you only have to look at their photos to know that there is some very serious cooking going on in here. Beautiful pictures.
Beeftro
One of the first to truly embrace Instagram and if you want anything beef related they are the account that you should be following. Not one to follow if you are feeling peckish.
