Dublin Flea Market Has Announced Its First Night Market In 11 Years

Sarah Finnan

I’m all about that ‘Friday Feeling’ mentality; anything to get the weekend festivities going as soon as possible.

And top of my list of Friday activities for this month is the Dublin Night Market.

We are delighted to be hosting our very first night market ever (in 11 years!) as part of @culturenight 2019. The event is in collaboration with @dublinfilmfestival which will be hosting an outdoor cinema at the same venue @thedigitalhub. All very exciting. We have a great selection of stalls with a quality mix of retro, vintage, antique furniture, clothes, vinyl and collectibles along side a super gorgeous selection of Irish design and craft stalls. In addition we will have fab food stalls @_gralinn_ @feashty @villagepizza_dublin @camerinobakery and @containercoffeedublin so arrive hungry!!! Open 6-10pm 20th Sept. This will be our last market of the year so come celebrate with us before we go underground for winter. #dublinflea poster by @queensofneonontour

The flea market has been running since 2008 but this will be its first night market in 11 years. After a brief hiatus in May 2018, it’s back up and running on the grounds of the Digital Hub on Thomas Street.

The event, which comes as part of culture night 2019, is in collaboration with Dublin Film Festival and along with all the usual vendors and food stalls, there will also be an outdoor cinema for your viewing pleasure.

We have a treat in store for the third @culturenight at The Digital Hub on 20th September. We are teaming up with the @dublinfilmfestival again and our new Culture Night partner, @dublinflea for an evening of film, food and markets. Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival brings its outdoor cinema to Dublin 8, with a programme of films including ‘No Place Like Home’, the debut film from local young filmmakers who took part in the Screen8 filmmaking programme, while the Dublin Flea Market will hold a special Night Market with the usual eclectic mix of stalls. Keep an eye on our website for updates. https://www.thedigitalhub.com/event/culture-night-at-the-digital-hub/

I can only describe this place as a thrifter’s paradise and there’s nothing I love more than bagging a bargain. Choose from retro, vintage, antique furniture, clothes, vinyl and collectables amongst other treasures. You can basically kit yourself and your whole gaff out here for cheap.

Stock up while you still can as this will be the last market of the year before Dublin Flea hibernates for the winter. September 20, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pencil it in on the calendar lads.

Sounds like an ideal way to wrap up a long work week.
