13 Must-Try Cocktails In Dublin That Cost Less Than A Tenner
No more waiting 'til payday!
Craic agus ceol agus... cocktails?
Sometimes you just want to get dressed up and go for a fancy night out but too often, a meagre bank balance can put a halt on proceedings.
We firmly believe that you can't let cash get in the way of a good party so we've searched high and low to compile a list Dublin's best cocktails for under a tenner!
Better still, you can pay with contactless at the bar so you'll be back on the dancefloor in no time.
Drink responsibly, folks!
Kinara Fruit Cup - Kinara Kitchens
A modern take on the classic Pimm's Cup. Gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup, topped with ginger ale and seasonal fruits. Need I say more?
The Brit - The South William
Vodka served with blood orange, lime, jalapeno and agave nectar with rhubard bitters. It is so out there, but it works. This is definitely one for the more adventurous amongst us.
Porn Star Martini - Dakota Bar
Passionfruit pureé shaken with vanilla vodka, served in a martini glass and topped with prosecco. Let's be honest, this probably wins the competition for Best Cocktail Name.
(2 for €12, Monday to Thursday).
The Solero - The Waterloo Bar
We're continuing our childhood love of a Solero ice-cream in our adult lives and we couldn't be happier! Spiced rum, vanilla extract, passionfruit and orange. We'll take seven please.
The Phoenix Rises - Bow Lane
Whiskey, Guinness Syrup, sweet vermouth, bitters and black cherries. All served chilled. Luxury exudes from this one, so we're game.
Purple Hooter - Capitol Lounge
The name alone would make us buy this blend of vodka, raspberry liqueur, sour mix and lemonade.
The best thing about Capitol Lounge is their 2 for 1 deals during the week!
Whiskey Sour - Harry's On The Green
A classic that needs no introduction. This is a drink that really hits the spot, and their 2 for 1 Thursdays are not bad either!
Dirty Havana Mojito - Copan
Thirsty Thursday's have a home in Copan's with their 2 for 1 deal on all cocktails. Seriously, check out their menu, their dirty mojiti is definitely one to try. It is refreshing and cheap at just €5!
Mule - The Exchequer Wine Bar
The story goes that three Russian men, one with too much vodka, the other with a load of limes and the last with a mountain of ginger beer ran into each other (literally) and created this classic cocktail. Russian vodka, lime juice and ginger beer - a match made in heaven!
The Elder Pyg - Pygmalion
Whiskey, elderflower, citrus, apple, rhubard bitters and sugar. This is music to our ears. While Pygmalion usually charge around €13 for their cocktails, they do 2 for 1 Pygtails from Sunday through Thursday so we will see you all there!
Fruity Sweetman's - J.W Sweetman's
Sweetman's are other bar jumping on the 2 for 1 bandwagon and were definitely not complaining! Our personal favourite is the Fruity Sweetman's, which consists of banana liqueur and raspberry vodka, shaken over ice and topped with Weiss and a splash of Midori.
Whiskey Sour - Porterhouse Central
This place has got a massive selection of cocktails that won't break the bank. Whiskey lovers take note, a superb Whiskey Sour will only set you back €9 and a Manhattan only costs you an extra 50 cent.
Mudslide - Woolshed Bar and Grill
Known predominately as a sports bar, this spot is the perfect place to sit back, relax and watch your favourite sports teams with a cocktail in hand.
We recommend a Mudslide - baileys, kahlua, tia maria, cream and milk!
