For all our fried chicken fans out there – this is not a drill. Popeyes® is opening its first restaurant on Saturday 6th June at 10am.
After years of hype, rumours and people begging for it to happen, the wait is finally over as Popeyes®, the Louisiana-born brand founded in 1972, have announced its officially opening its first-ever Irish restaurant next month – and it’s all kicking off in Blanchardstown Centre.
And honestly? It’s about to be one of the busiest openings Dublin has seen in a long time, as this is their inaugural store in Ireland, they will be pulling out all of the stops.
If you ever wanted to try the legendary Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich (yes, the only that basically broke the internet), your moment has arrived.
The New Orleans brand, famous worldwide for its bold flavours and iconic ‘Shatter Crunchin’’ chicken is bringing the full experience to Dublin, and they’re going all out on opening day.
We’re talking legendary queues, buzz, serious energy… and a few good reasons to get there early as the Irish people welcome Popeyes®.
There will be tonnes of craic and epic giveaways to make the wait worthwhile for those who get there early on opening day.
For anyone considering pulling up early, this is your sign.
Safe to say: this isn’t your average queue and is definitely a queue worth joining early.

Known around the world for its world-famous ‘Shatter Crunchin’ chicken, Popeyes® has perfected the signature blend of bold New Orleans seasonings, marinated for 12 hours and then hand-breaded and hand-battered to create that famous shatter-crunch.

And yes, there’s even a 100% plant-based vegan sandwich, so no one’s missing out. If one location wasn’t enough, Popeyes® is already planning a second Dublin restaurant in Liffey Valley, set to open this summer. So yeah, they’re not doing things by halves.
