Food, Glorious Food – Taste's Food Pairings Are Nothing Like You've Ever Eaten
These fab brews, Irish cheeses and macaroons are not to be missed...
We previewed some gorgeous cheeses and macaroons at The Open Gate Brewery's 'Taste of Beer' event last week in the run up to Taste of Dublin, and we are seriously excited to have some more.
Taste is running this weekend at the Iveagh Gardens from June 16 to 19, and The Little Milk Company and The Natural Bakery will be there all weekend long, serving cheese and baked goodies to compliment brews from The Open Gate Brewery.
Last week we got an exclusive taste of their organic blue cheese, which isn't yet available in Ireland that perfectly compliments The Open Gate Brewery’s Antwerp Export, Dublin and West Indies Porters and, of course, classic Guinness.
All of those brews will also go amazingly with The Natural Bakery's sourdough and brown breads.
But it's their macaroons that are the true star here. The difficult part will be choosing between the Strawberry Porter-filled macaroon or the Chocolate & Vanilla stout one.
Do they look amazing or do they look amazing?
Make sure to drop by The Open Gate Brewery tent to pic up some brews to go with these delicacies. And make sure to try their Strawberry Porter while you're there. It's a limited-edition brew and will be launched at Taste of Dublin for your testing.

There has been an experimental brewery at St. James's Gate for over a hundred years. Now, for the first time in history, it's gates are open to you.
We invite you to come along and try our new beers, meet our brewers and soak up the unique atmosphere inside the walls of our experimental brewery.
Some of these beers will end up on at your local pub or the far side of the world. Others will never leave these walls.
