Get Ready To Thrive! What To Expect From Dublin’s Newest Wellness Festival

Zoe

When it comes to showing you the créme de la créme of all things fitness, wellness and food – Thrive Festival certainly delivers.

Taking place in The Convention Centre this March, the people who bring you The Taste of Dublin are once again killing it in the event field and bring you an exclusive mix of boutique workouts for one weekend only.

From Zumba and Crossfit to HIIT, Yoga, Pilates and Barre – there is something for everyone. Not only will you sweat it out with studios who train models and celebs, you can recharge the body and soul with amazing talks in meditation and mindfulness and an array of delish foodie brands.

Still need some convincing? Check out three of the amazing studios you can train with over the weekend.

KOBOX

Founded by Irishman Shane Collins, KOBOX Boxing Club brings it’s team outside of London for the very first time to give you an exclusive, first-hand experience of the boxing studio that’s taken the fitness world by storm.

‘Fight Club meets Night Club’ is the best way to describe this workout – and having done it a few times myself in London, I can safely say it lives up to that. If you’re keen to leave the fundamentals of boxing whilst mixing it up with heart-pounding exercises then KOBOX is the workout for you.

Shane said “ I’m incredibly excited to take KOBOX home and to a venue to close to my heart. We may have made our mark in the fitness world in London but the concept and the idea was born in Dublin. Thrive Festival will give us an opportunity to showcase what we do.”

KOBOX will kick off on both days from 11am and run hour long classes on the hour until 6pm. Find out more about KOBOX here.

BALLET BEAUTIFUL

If you’re looking for something a little different but that still makes you feel the burn, Ballet Beautiful is just that. Created by pro ballerina, celeb trainer and fitness guru Mary Helen Bowers, Ballet Beautiful is a world-famous ballet-inspired fitness and lifestyle brand that gives you signature workouts through online subscriptions, streaming videos, books and the best part, unreal activewear to do it all in!

Bowers is pretty much the leader of todays’ explosive dance-based fitness movement and by attending one of her sessions at Thrive, you’ll get the chance to train with one of the most sought after names in fitness – pretty good eh?

Ever watched Black Swan? Yep – you’ve guessed it! Mary personally trained Natalie Portman for her award-winning role in this epic movie. Today, she works with Liv Tyler, Miranda Kerr and Lily Aldridge, to name but a few.

Taking place on the Move Stage on both Saturday and Sunday, Ballet Beautiful is the go-to regime for anyone looking to target key areas and see incredible results. One class and you’ll be hooked – hello super sleek ballet muscles!

Check out more of her work here.

MAEVE MADDEN

Not only can you train with Maeve at Thrive Festival, you can also soak up her wellness wisdom at the event. The best-selling author and health and fitness influencer was born and bred in Ireland and has an immense passion for fitness, health and beauty.

Maeve is a strong believer in being the best possible version of yourself – she’s a pretty positive lady and we’re a little bit obsessed. She’s been met with physical challenges throughout her career and overcome them and is sharing her story and fitness energy with everyone.

“When I heard about Thrive fitness and wellness festival, I jumped at the chance to go. I love coming home to Ireland, and it always makes me so proud to be able to share all I have learned in fitness and women’s health with everyone. I think I’m most excited to be talking about gut health and raising awareness around its stigma, but my workouts of course will be fit fierce and fast.”

Hitting up the Move Stage on Saturday, you’ll experience her high energy and positive attitude during a 30 minute leg and butt workout that will make you feel the burn, before settling in for some wellness chats on the Inner Wellness Stage.

Find out more about Maeve here.

These are just three of the amazing people you can see and train with at Thrive Festival this March. Each week, we’ll be showcasing more trainers, speakers and food brands who’ll be setting up in The Convention Centre, Dublin next month.
