This Class Will Teach You How To Make Your Own Sloe Gin At Home

Louise

Gin is definitely the trendiest drink in town at the moment and this new Dublin class will teach you just how to make an extra-delicious version at home.

As part of Science Week, a special event is taking place where you can learn how to make your own jams, chutneys and sloe gin… while save some serious money in the process.

The foraging and fermentation talk will be given by Dermot Hughes of Forage Ireland on November 16 and will see him discussing foraging in Ireland and its recent surge in popularity.

He’ll show guests his homemade produce and everyone will be invited to taste them all for themselves, before he gives his personal tips for recreating them at home.

The event takes place at 7pm in Network Cafe on Aungier Street and early bird tickets can be bought online in advance for €5.

What a deadly way to spend an evening, learning new things. And who knows, afterwards you could upgrade your weekly stroll through Phoenix Park into a wild mushroom foraging extravaganza.

(SOLD OUT) You can get your tickets here.

This event is sold out, but there are loads more Science Week events you can check out here.
