This FREE Rugby Event Is Taking Place In Herbert Park At The Weekend

Rugby fans should reeeally check out this event taking place in Herbert Park on the day of the Guinness PRO12 Final. We’ve a feeling it’s gonna be your cup of tea.

Just 15 minutes away from the Aviva Stadium, the park will be hosting The Rugby Zone on Saturday, May 27. The free event will have fun for all the family, boasting food from Irish Village Markets, live music, a ‘Skills Zone’, and appearances by players from the tournament’s finalist teams, who’ll be giving insight on the day’s big match.

You can also get your picture taken with the Women’s World Cup giant logo and the Guinness PRO12 trophy might even make an appearance.

In the Skills Zone you’ll be able to test your rugby prowess, with challenges like speed cages, reaction boards and skills-based tests to try out.

Providing musical entertainment on the day is Jungle Boogie, Graham Mills, and DJ Dave McDonnell. You can even look forward to a Q&A session with members of the two finalist teams.

Mazda and Energia are official partners of the event and there will be a showroom where you get a look at the brand new Mazda CX-5 and one lucky fan will even get the chance to win the car for an entire year. Fans can also get their photo taken with a replica of the Guinness PRO12 trophy or test their reaction speeds by playing BATAK.

Festival goers can also get their photo taken and printed instantly in the Energia photo booth and chill out on nearby beanbags and deckchairs. A rugby skills passing game will be on hand to put your skills to the test and kids will be delighted to see the Energia Guinea Pigs mascots make an appearance too.

So there will be plenty to keep you entertained on the day.

The Rugby Zone will be perfect for rugby fans living in the area, especially those with young families. The festivities kick off at 12 noon on May 27.
