The Nine Best Places To Have A Flat White With A View In Dublin

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

Today is World Milk Day and that got me thinking…

I didn’t realise how much milk I actually drink. While I wouldn’t be downing pints of the stuff, I realised my morning wouldn’t be the same without it. My daily calcium kick usually comes in the form of my fave hot bevie – A flat white.

So, where is the best place in Dublin to drink a flat white?

I adore sitting in a café, nursing a coffee and watching the world go by. We’re fortunate to live in such a beautiful city, with the most scenic views and a Dublin café is one of the best places to take it all in.

To celebrate #WorldMilkDay, why not treat yourself to a gorge flat white in the sun?

Here’s some of the best places to have a coffee with a view in Dublin:

1. Happy Out – Bull Island

This is literally the cutest place ever.

It’s right beside Dollymount strand so if you’re up for walking on the beach and you know you’ll need a coffee after – this place is ideal.

2. Container Coffee – Thomas Street

Container Coffee on Thomas Street is a super cool spot that specialises in artisan coffee and tasty treats.

It has a glorious outdoor seating area with a stunning view of St Patrick’s Tower, so it’s sure to be a hot spot for coffee lovers this weekend while the sun is out.

3. The Marker Hotel – Grand Canal

The Marker Hotel rooftop has one of the best views in the city. Overlooking Grand Canal, you could spend the whole day here people watching.

4. Angelina’s – Percy Place

For someone who walks down the canal every single morning and evening you’d think I’d be fed up of it, but I’m really not – It’s just so pretty.

Angelina’s has a wonderful outdoor area that looks directly out on the canal. I wish every flat white I’ve ordered in my life had a view like this.

5. The Greenery – Malahide

This coastal road café is the ideal spot to chill on a sunny day.

Beachy vibes.

6. Sophie’s – Harcourt Street

This gorge, modern glasshouse restaurant has a 360 degree view of Dublin City.

Seeing Dublin from every angle while sipping on a decadent coffee? If that isn’t the dream, I don’t know what is.

7. Fallon & Byrne – Dun Laoghaire

Coffee in the the park – Yes please.

8. The Wooden Spoon – Blackrock

Drinking coffee by the sea is the best place to be.

Sure look, I’m a poet and I didn’t know it.

9. Airfield Estate – Dundrum

The stunning gardens at Airfield Estate are in bloom right now and they have such a darling café.

It’s the perfect place to take a step away from reality and to have some peace from the hustle and bustle of inner-city life.
