If you're looking for a quintessentially Italian spot in the heart of the city, look no further than Wallace's.
This December, two amazing food nights will take place in their Enoteca della Langhe venue and you won't want to miss out.
With three central restaurants specialising in authentic and traditional Italian cuisine, Wallaces' Italian Wine Bars boast locally sourced fresh foods and the highest quality Italian ingredients - adding to the authenticity, all their food is created and cooked by an amazing team of Italian chefs, completely the Italian dining experience.
Their first restaurant, Enoteca della Langhe, opened its doors in 2003 in The Italian Quarter (where else?) and this small, cosy venue prides itself on an incredible selection of over 100 unique wines from over 40 producers.
In keeping with the Enoteca experience, they also offer the finest selection of cheese, cured meats and pasta dishes. Glass of red + cheese + cured meats = HEAVEN!
This December Enoteca delle Langhe will host two special nights that celebrate and showcase authentic and original recipes from Northern Italy.
Kicking off this week on Dec 6, the first night will be dedicated to Il Pesce (fish) and second night on Dec 13 to 'il bollito', a traditional Northern Italian dish. During each night, the Chef will prepare signature dishes followed by a one-on-one discussion with each customer where he explains the dishes and reveals some of his culinary secrets.
You can enjoy this amazing four course meal for €32 per person and the dishes sound devine. From Hamachi fish tartar with ginger marinated carrots to pan-fired monkfish with sweet and sour red cabbage and Martini vermouth sauce.
Let's not forget dessert - 76% cocao crémeux with citrus jelly and crispy cake biscuits. Yes please!
On Dec 13, the restaurant will showcase Il Bollito - a simple dish from the Piemonte region of Italy that's been called 'one of the most enjoyable and satisfying meals imaginable...' if that doesn't send your taste buds into a frenzy, good luck.
Back in the 1800's, Prince Vittorio Emanuele and his friends would sneak off to the town of Moncalvo to enjoy a decent bollito misto - seven meats, seven veggies and seven condiments. Major food coma worthy food.
If you're lucky enough to grab a sitting - seats are booking up fast - you'll enjoy a selection of Northern Italian meats served carvery style and left to simmer for several hours for optimum flavour. For only €32 per person for three courses, you'll sample veal tongue, beef cheek, pork ribs, chuck tender beef and hen meat, all served by the Chef from a buffet alongside spicy fruits, mustard, salsa verde, horse radish sauce and mashed potatoes.
Seriously, anyone else drooling right now!?
Oh and an epic selection of craft cheese from Northern Italy will follow. Perfecto!
Amazing food and wine in a traditional setting - sounds good, right? Call (01) 888 0834 to book your place. Salute!
