Nearly 4,000 student beds will be available to rent in Dublin city centre by September 2020, with over half of that number ready for use over the next 18 months.

Five student accommodation blocks are being built across the city – including ‘New Mill’ in Newmarket and an extra 101 rooms available at Broadstone Hall.

However, the fun doesn’t stop there, as the company has started work on another 570 rooms on Lower Grangegorman and are expected to begin work on a new building in the Blackpitts area of the city.

And they look like this…

Not too shabby, eh?

Aaron Bailey, head of construction with GSA, believes that these student orientated buildings will do its part to ease the ongoing housing crisis.

“We see that for every three student beds we provide, that’s effectively freeing up a house in the private rental sector”.

The company are hoping to home 4000 students into the newly-built homes by 2020.
