PIC: Man Behind “Shocking” And “Disgusting” Abortion Posters Gives Intense Radio Interview

The man behind the abortion posters which were erected outside the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin has given a radio interview with 98FM stating he was only showing “images [that] you can see in biology text books.”

They were described as “shocking” and “disgusting” by some of the 98FM listeners when the radio station posted the pictures online. 

He started off by giving the host of Dublin Talks a ‘for’ and ‘against’ as to why these posters were positioned where they were. 

He agreed that although the “public sidewalks are an imperfect forum for showing these images” it has become the “only power that’s left to us”. 

When pressed on his ‘for’ and ‘against’ argument, he said that these images are being censored all over Dublin and that they needed to “utilise the only other forum” that’s left.

The host, Adrian Kennedy, could not understand why the Hospital was still targeted consider there is “miles and miles” of other footpaths in the city. 

Kennedy kept reiterating the same question to the organiser about issuing an apology and even stated that one caller to his show, a lady who was voting no, said the posters “destroyed her”.

The same woman had suffered a miscarriage previously, stating “it was a crisis baby but I still wanted it”.

However, he was not prepared to give an apology: 

“These are images you can see in biology text books, I don’t need to apologise for that,” said the organiser before adding that the posters “promote people’s rights to see the reality to help them make a decision about lots of things, including the upcoming vote… but none of our signs say how someone should vote.”

“Our critics don’t want to see us holding those signs anywhere.”
