Autumn Foodie Bucket List: Five Toasty Dishes To Try In Dublin Now That The Weather’s Changed

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

Can you feel it? That chill in the air?

Winter is coming.

It’s time to whip out your heavy coats, fluffy scarves and bobble hats because that commute to work in the mornings is getting a little breezier.

There’s no better way to warm yourself up in the evenings than over a hot, steamy bowl of hearty food, paired with the perfect pint. Archway Lager is the newest lager from the Franciscan Well range, and with a 4% ABV, its exceptional in both substance and flavour.

So here you go, here’s five toasty dishes that are guaranteed to make your cheeks rosy:

1. Featherblade – Featherblade

For meat lovers of Dublin, this place is a godsend.

Juicy and full of flavour – with wonderful crunchy sea salt, this place knows how to do a good steak.

Add some of their mac’n’cheese as a side and you’ll see why this is one of our favourite spots for a hearty meal in Dublin.

2. Truffle Pasta – Terra Madre

A teeny tiny authentic Italian restaurant nestled on the Quays and hidden away in a basement that you could easily miss.

Terra Madre make phenomenal pasta.

Their truffle pasta is drool-worthy. Little silky pockets of heaven that are bursting with flavour.

Soo tasty!

3. Quesadillas – Masa

A simple yet funky and super chill venue – Masa is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite in town.

The restaurant specialises in tacos and burritos but their quesadillas are what woo-ed us.

Made fresh to order with a range of flavours, there’s nothing better than a piping hot pocket of cheese and beans to warm you up when the weathers cool.

4. Chilli Fries – Wowburger

The ultimate comfort food.

Chilli fries have everything you’d ever need to get your circulation going – a kick from the spice, steamy chips, a load of meat and sauce.

The dream tbh.

5. Buttermilk Chicken – Crackbird

The best place to go if you’re in the mood for a big basket of fried wonderfulness.

Chicken and a load of mash – sure, you can’t beat that?

We can already feel the colour coming back to our noses.
