Burger Bucket List: The 12 Most Delish Patties Of Meaty Goodness In Dublin

admin

Burgers make the world a better place. I think we can pretty much all agree upon that.

But one thing that’s a little tougher to agree upon is where to eat your burgers.

After some comprehensive and arduous research by the Lovin team, we’ve determined the 11 burger spots in Dublin that you simply need to try.

As always, we expect uproar, some agreement and plenty of heated debate in the comment section.

The only way to see if our list is on the money is to grab a few mates and start working your way through these bad boys immediately.

Probably best you don’t try ’em all in one day though…

BuJo

BuJo serves some of the tastiest burgers in town. There’s two patties in each burger and a load of cheese, not to mention the most deliciously crispy bacon on top — OMG. You’ll have to loosen your belt after this one.

Box Burger

This burger joint serves up outrageously decadent and delicious burgers, as anyone at last month’s GREATyard event will know.

Attendees were treated to the Archburger – a delicious Archway-glazed cheeseburger complete with their signature giant hunks of juicy beef. Sooo good.

Bobo’s

This place has been around for years and now have multiple locations around town. One for people who are fans of their burgers being stacked seriously high and with lots of fillings.

Bull And Castle

Part of the famous FXB chain of restaurants, this is their gastro pub offering. Their burger is simple but amazing, and you have loads of different beers to choose from when it comes to washing it down, like the newly released Archway lager from Franciscan Well. Carefully balanced and 4% ABV, this new brew has a clear golden body and an early hop aroma with light pear and malt sweetness.

Five Guys

Some would argue that this American chain, relatively new to Dublin, shouldn’t be on the list at all, but we heartily disagree. Their burgers are superb and, with plenty more locations coming across Ireland, soon we’ll all be eating a lot more Five Guys.

Wowburger

With all the toppings you could possibly want for free and that super secret (and super delish) Wowburger sauce, these burgers are the real deal. Also, try the garlic butter fries.

Farmer Browns

The place to come if you’re seriously hungry — because their portions are absolutely massive. Like insanely massive. They’ve got two locations in Dublin, on Bath Ave and in Rathmines, and their burger is absolutely top notch.

Dillinger’s

The only problem you’ll have here is that there are so many amazing dishes that going for the burger is a tough choice. If you do, however, you’ll get an absolutely stunning meal, with their famous huge portions leaving it hard to finish.

Generator Hostel

Could be a surprise for many to see a hostel so high up on the list but their burger is as good as anything you’ll find in any high end restaurant. Affordable and seriously tasty, they’ve put some amount of effort into developing a truly amazing burger.

Beeftro

A couple of locations in Dublin, and given what they’re called, and that they focus on all things beef, you’d expect a good burger. On the pricier side of things, but packed full of flavour — you certainly won’t be hungry after eating this.

Featherblade

An absolutely outstanding burger made with the very best of ingredients. It was apparently in development for more than six months to get it tasting this good.

Bunsen

Given how busy they always are, it would seem that the vast majority of people in Dublin agree that Bunsen is among the best in the city.

My advice? Don’t mess around with tonnes of toppings and just keep things simple. The focus is on high quality meat, simple condiments and great buns.

One of the most affordable and best meals for the price you’ll eat in the city.
