We Need To Talk About The Brunch Menu At Boeuf On South William Street

seank

When you thinking about potential brunch spots, you don’t generally think about steak houses… but maybe you should.

We’ve spoken about Boeuf before, how it serves up “prime Irish steaks with a French flare” served on a seasoned cast-iron plate with sautéed French onion crouton, but that was when they were all about dinner — now they’ve set their sights on conquering brunch too.

If you listen carefully, you might just hear Dublin’s meat lovers squeal with uncontainable glee at the very idea.

Maybe.

What’s on the menu, you ask? What isn’t on the menu, more like.

They’ve got Heff’s Eggs (sauteed prawns and chorizo on French toast with home frites, leaves, crispy Parma ham, poached eggs), Smoked Benedict (back bacon on French bread, home frites, leaves, crispy Parma ham, hollandaise and truffle drizzled poached egg), Baked Fromage Omelettes (Raclette cheese, fresh onion, avocado, mushrooms, baby potato, grilled tomato, basil pesto toast) and a whole lot more.

Oh, and this is one spot that will please the veggies too – they do a tofu Benedict so you can dine contently with your carnivore crew.

The restaurant itself has butcher shop decor and Hugh Heifer himself as a mascot. What more could you want?

But enough talk! Let’s have a gawk at what’s on the brunch menu…

Lots on offer right? Lads, we haven’t even gotten to the extras yet.

You’ve got tonnes of sides. There are eight types of mash potato (including Red Wine Gravy, Raclette & Onion or Chorizo & Paprika), three types of croquettes (Classic, Blue Cheese or Chorizo & Pesto), five types of frites (including Onion Rings, Pommes Frites or Grilled Raclette Home Frites), four types of gratin (Raclette, Pesto & Parmesan, Crumbled Blue Cheese, Garlic & Camembert), four types of sautéed dish (Mushroom, French Beans, Wilted Spinach or Creamed Spinach) and four types of salad (Rustic Leaves, Tomato & Pesto, Spinach & Blue Cheese or Avocado Leaves).

Also, there’s no less than 20 sauces to make your meal even more interesting: Herb Brandy Butter, Pickled Chilli Butter, Blue Cheese Peppercorn, Boeuf Mayonnaisse, Heff’s Hot Steak Sauce and many more.

Sounds like thirsty eating, right? Good thing then that there’s a heap of brunch cocktails to wash it all down with, including the signature Boeuftail (Pimms and Hendrick’s gin, cucumber, juniper berries, rosemary swizzle, rose leaves, chilled bluberries and Fever Tree tonic) or a Bloody Mary with a bacon swizzle.

They even serve up special tunes for their brunches, playing ’80s music with a dash of classic TV and movie tracks.

Intrigued? Try Boeuf for brunch this weekend at 63 South William Street.
