Where to Get Bulletproof Coffee in Dublin

annanolan

Bulletproof coffee gives you the ultimate kickstart in the morning… (so they say)! When I first heard of it, I thought the fitness industry had gone insane- coffee hardly needed anything else to make it any stronger. But I was proved wrong, it has become hugely popular and people really do swear by its benefits. Our community are always enquiring where they can get a fix of the stuff on the go. So I decided to find out where serves this magical drink and what each place puts in theirs.

My Own Brew and My Experience of Bulletproof Coffee

After speaking to the cafés serving Bulletproof Coffee, I was intrigued. It sounded tasty and they had me convinced it would benefit me while exercising. So on Sunday morning I got up and made my own version. My coffee included 2 tbs of unsalted butter, 2 tbs of coconut oil, 2 hits of coffee and boiling water of course. I whisked it all up together and eagerly poured it into the glass. I gulped it back in seconds. It tasted good a little rich but was easy to drink. The next few minutes I waited patiently for my coffee to kick in, I think I expected to suddenly turn into Sonic the hedgehog and start racing around the gaf. I got a little hyper and was definitely ready to go to class. I had booked myself into the Mixed Weights Training in Kickstart Fitness, Tallaght, Dublin 24. The class was a mixture of TRX, free weights, barbells, body weight exercises and cardio. It lasted an hour and a half. I made it through the whole class but had to take a two minute break because I felt queazy. My strength didn’t seem to be affected but my endurance certainly was. My ability to take direction was all over the shop, (not sure I can blame that fully on the coffee)! Overall it hadn’t been a bad attempt and I still felt energised after the class but at about 4 I crashed, I felt like I needed a nap. I imagine this is what it feels like to come down off a pre workout supplement – wasn’t ideal! In conclusion to my little investigation I think I’d drink a Bullet Proof coffee before a session based primarily around weight lifting rather than a class which involved so much movement.
