Images Emerge Of Burger Served With Chunk Missing In Dublin Restaurant

An Irish woman was left shocked after she found what she called a “bite-shaped chunk” in her burger.

The burger was bought in a McDonald’s in Charlestown in Dublin and the woman in question told The Irish Sun that:

“I bought a Big Mac meal on Sunday night.

“I was putting ketchup on the beef and noticed there was a chunk of the burger missing. It looked like a bite had been taken out of it.

“I brought the burger back up to the till and asked to speak to the manager.”

However, the fast food chain did have a good reason for the missing meat.

“She apologised and said a tongs ripped the meat in the kitchen.

“She asked if I wanted another burger but I got my money back instead.”

The publication has images of the burger.

McDonald’s say about their beef that they are the largest purchaser of Irish beef by volume every year. they purchase 40,000 tonnes of beef which is then exported to other European markets, meaning that every year one in five hamburgers sold in McDonald’s in Europe is of Irish origin.

Every McDonald’s beef product sold in Ireland is made from 100% pure Irish beef – with just a little salt and pepper added after cooking, meaning they can use the Bord Bia certified member logo on their beef.
