Elderly Woman Hospitalised After Attempted Robbery At Dublin Bus Stop

A woman in her 70s has been taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital after sustaining injuries during an attempted robbery at a bus stop. 

The Journal reports that the woman was approached by a man in his 20s in Sandymount at around 7pm yesterday evening. 

The man attempted to grab her handbag but was unsuccessful. The woman sustained a number of injuries during the struggle which Gardaí say are not life-threatening.
