fiodhna_hm

Man V Food is one of those weirdly addictive TV shows that you and your mates will end up binge watching all day when hungover.

You get to watch this man push his body to the absolute limit with a series of exceedingly outrageous challenges, and all from the safety of your own couch! Anyone familiar with the series knows that from time to time you find yourself thinking: ‘that doesn’t look so hard, I bet I could do that’.

Well, here’s your chance to prove it! We’ve looked all over Dublin to bring you some of the greatest food challenges from all over the city – elastic waistbands at the ready!

The Great White Challenge at Aussie BBQ

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to eat as many Great White burgers as you can in 60 minutes. The current record at Aussie BBQ is standing strong at 4.5 burgers consumed in under an hour. That equates to four and a half pounds of meat along with 18 slices of bacon, 9 slices of cheese and 9 burger buns! I would crowdfund an E! True Hollywood Story on this kid and then buy it on DVD. Legendary.

Time Limit: 60 minutes

Prize: Wall of Fame. €50 Voucher. Free T-shirt.

The Largest Pizza in Ireland at Pinheads

This is the newest addition to the list and has garnered quite a bit of attention lately.

You can get whatever toppings you want on the 32” pizza. However, this is probably the one and only time I’d condone ordering a Margherita, you’ve got enough on your plate, literally. You must polish off each and every slice of this beast and fit in 2 milkshakes as well to emerge victorious.

Time Limit: 32 minutes

Prize: Wall of Fame. €50 Voucher. Free meal.

Spur Steak Challenge at Rapid River Spur Steak & Grill

At Spur you are met with the challenge of consuming 4 individual 16 oz steaks in one sitting. This weighs in at a total of 64 oz which equates to four pounds of beef, which in turn equates to a minor heart attack. Just kidding, this is doable guys, we’ve got this!

Wait, what’s that? You have to consume two sides as well? Ah here. We’d suggest going for the coleslaw and the corn on the cob in order to leave more room for the medium sized calf you are about to consume. The current record stands at 22 minutes which is a pretty damn hard act to follow!

Time Limit: 60 minutes

Prize: Wall of Fame, free t-shirt and the meal is on the house.

So, who’s up for the challenge?
