Beef And Lobster Has Announced A Year-Long Partnership With Aware

James Fenton

Today is World Mental Health Day 2019 and to mark the occasion, Beef And Lobster has teamed up with Aware to help provide support for people impacted by depression, bipolar disorder and other mood-related conditions.

The restaurant, which has branches in Dublin City Centre, Malahide and Galway, has announced its Giving Back – #ItMakesCents campaign and it’s sure to be of great benefit to the charity’s stellar work.

What it entails is that all of the remaining cents from every single bill will be donated to Aware over the next year, meaning that everyone who enjoys a Beef And Lobster meal will be playing their part. Whether it’s 29 cents or 99 cents, it will all be going to an amazing cause.

Speaking about the partnership, Beef And Lobster owner Oliver Dunne said: ‘I believe mental health issues affect everybody in life at some stage. It may be mild or severe, it may affect you directly or indirectly, but it’s everywhere. Depression is something I’m passionate about destigmatising, so when it came to deciding which charity to work with, Aware was the perfect fit.’

He added: ‘I’m proud to be in a position to give back and hopefully, the money donated from all my Beef and Lobster restaurants will help support anyone who is struggling with depression or anxiety. I want to make a difference and I want my children to grow up in a world where they know its ok.’

A noble cause indeed. You can book your table at Beef And Lobster here.
