Steven Avery Has Broken Up With His Fiancé… After A Nine Day Engagement

For those who questioned their miserable love lives when Steven Avery managed to nab a fiancé from his prison cell, we’ve got some good news… it’s all off.

The Making A Murderer star recently proposed to Lynn Hartmann a week after meeting her in person but it’s now been claimed that he has ended the engagement.

The couple had been writing and calling each other for eight months before putting a ring on it but Avery’s ex Sandra Greenman has now alleged that the legal secretary was only in the relationship to make money.

“Steve called me two times tonight and wants everyone to know that Lynn (Hartman) and him are done. She has been in this relationship for money and publicity. His eyes are finally opened! Lynn received at least $5,000 dollars from Dr Phil, and he thinks more. She got another $1,000 for doing other shows.”

Neither Avery nor Hartmann have commented on the split and the 54-year-old is still serving a life sentence for the murder of photographer Teresa Hallbach.
