Irish football fans have had some pretty special experiences over the years and an exhibition currently on display at Dublin Castle gives us all a chance to relive our favourite memories.
The event is a joint venture by the FAI, Dublin City Council and the Department Of Transport, Tourism and Sport and is being put on as part of the build-up to Ireland’s hosting duties at Euro 2020.
Don’t forget to check out the National Football Exhibition – in the Printworks at Dublin Castle until Sunday!

The exhibition wraps up in Dublin this Sunday before moving elsewhere around the country. Visitors will be able to wander around six different zones, each designed to give an insight on a different aspect of Irish football, from great international nights to the domestic game.
Match-worn jerseys, boots and other interesting memorabilia will also be on display.
A lot to see in National Football Exhibition but my personal favourite was this Don Revie telegram, refusing to release John Giles for an EC qualifier in Rome which Ireland lost 3-0. The Prague trip he was ‘essential’ for was a Fairs Cup tie v Sparta. Leeds had won 1st leg 6-0. pic.twitter.com/MvTulzTt9Q
