This Weekend Is Your Last Chance To Catch The National Football Exhibition At Dublin Castle

James Fenton

Irish football fans have had some pretty special experiences over the years and an exhibition currently on display at Dublin Castle gives us all a chance to relive our favourite memories.

The event is a joint venture by the FAI, Dublin City Council and the Department Of Transport, Tourism and Sport and is being put on as part of the build-up to Ireland’s hosting duties at Euro 2020.

The exhibition wraps up in Dublin this Sunday before moving elsewhere around the country. Visitors will be able to wander around six different zones, each designed to give an insight on a different aspect of Irish football, from great international nights to the domestic game.

Match-worn jerseys, boots and other interesting memorabilia will also be on display.

This weekend, the National Football Exhibition at Printworks in Dublin Castle will be open on Friday (11am to 9pm), Saturday (11am to 9pm) and Sunday (11am to 7pm) so if want to get your Irish football history fix you’d better be quick.
