Stuck Because Of The Bus Strike? Uber Has Come Up With A Fairly Clever Plan…

fiodhna_hm

With the Dublin Bus strike scheduled for tomorrow, anyone dependent on public transport is probably wondering how they’re going to go about their daily business. If you have a car at home and usually take the bus, chances are you’ll drive to work, fully aware that there will be more congestion on the roads leaving everyone in gridlocked traffic. On the other hand, anyone without a car will be left stuck, unless they are lucky enough to live in an area serviced by the Luas or Dart. So what are the people of Dublin to do?

Well, the good news is that Uber have announced a great deal for anyone in need of transport tomorrow and Saturday. They are offering a 50% discount when you split a fare whilst using their service. Pretty clever really, not only are they suggesting people use their service as an alternative in the absence of buses, but they are also promoting car pooling to have less cars on the road. You can find out more details on Uber’s website, but we think it’s a pretty ingenious way to keep Dublin moving tomorrow and Saturday!
