The powers-that-be behind the Web Summit have just announced that one of their conferences is set on returning to Dublin – just two years after the Summit was moved from the Irish capital to Lisbon kickstarting a sea of controversy.

Taking to Facebook this morning, the Summit’s organisers mentioned that their financial services conference, MoneyConf, is set to be held in the capital next year.

They posted on their Facebook page says:

“Brexit is transforming Dublin as a financial centre. Major banks, credit card companies and fintech startups have all signed leases in recent months. JP Morgan is moving up to 1,000 bankers alone to Dublin from London. It’s an incredible moment.”

“And it’s in this moment that we’re moving MoneyConf, which is already one of the world’s leading and fintech conferences, to our hometown Dublin.”

According to the post, €1.5 million free tickets will be given to students from every academic institution in Ireland to attend their global events.
