The Dublin Marathon is a great event that allows people to push themselves to the limit – and in many cases raise extraordinary amounts of money for charity.
And today, officers from the Gardai and PSNI came together to run the race in a fitting tribute to Garda Tony Golden who was shot dead earlier in the moth while protecting the community he served.
The police officers joined over 15,000 brave runners from Ireland and around the world braving the elements today.
It won’t bring this brave man back, but the mark of respect these 140 officers put on today is a great example of why Ireland is such a great country.
