The first trailer for A Monster Calls has just been released and it looks like it's going to be something special.

Based on the book of the same name, the story follows a 12-year-old named Conor (Lewis MacDougall) who's struggling with the illness of his mother and being bullied at school. When he needs help the most, a monstrous tree comes calling, voiced by an especially gravelly Liam Neeson...

Think The NeverEnding Story, Where The Wild Things Are, and Pan's Labyrinth; a similar tone is what you can expect from this flick.
