EEEK! A Winter Wine & Cheese Festival Has JUST Been Announced

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

Let’s hope there’s mulled wine – it’s a surprisingly delish pairing with cheese too!

Looks like those Christmas party and get-together plans have just gotten easier as the Eatyard Wine And Cheese festival returns for the silly season.

The festival will take place 21st November to 14th December in Jam Park.

After the huge success of their summer event that included wines from Green Man, L’Atitude 51, Wine Lab and award-winning cheese from Sheridans, Corleggy, it seemed only fitting to celebrate during the Christmas months too.

Jam Park, the multi-level adults’ playground and event space in Swords, we will be doing weekend Wine & Cheese sessions with tickets priced at €15 (plus booking fee) and group booking deals available (table of 8 for €100 plus booking fee) – the perfect Christmas party set up.

Tickets include wine on arrival, some festive cheesy treats and of course Bodytonic entertainment such as live music. caroling and the hilarious ‘How Merlot Can You Go?’ limbo.

The hugely successful Eatyard Cheese shop will return this time taking over the Jam Park kitchen to bring you all the cheese goodness – cheese boards, fondue, mac and cheese, cheeseburgers and plenty more.

You can also add on a wine masterclass with Rory Craig from Station to Station Wine.

Classes range from €15pp for Mistletoe & Wine – taste your way to the best Christmas ever, Happy Fizzmas is €20pp where Rory bursts the bubble on myths and marketing around Champagne (not as specialised as it sounds) and there’s even a VIP Masterclass for €30pp for the full-on wine fans. These will need to be booked in advance with your ticket booking or private sessions can be organised.

The great advantage of being is Jam Park is that it’s indoors so you won’t get too chilly as you tuck into your cheesy delights. You can also try your hand at Christmas Karaoke, games in the retro arcade and even Crazy Golf.

Most nights the bar and venue will stay open until around 1 am, so no need for the party to finish early.

Sounds like jolly good fun.
