A Classic Football Shirts Pop-Up Shop Is Coming To Dublin

James Fenton

You know what they say about nostalgia. It ain’t what it used to be.

We all long for the olden days once in a while but when it comes to football fandom, there appears to be a particular affinity for the days of yore. Past glories are regularly recalled with glee while painful memories are never truly wiped out. We’re looking at you, Thierry.

If you’re one of those people who enjoy misty-eyed reminders of the past, or indeed if you know someone like that, then you should take note of this upcoming event. Classic Football Shirts, a company which specialises in, erm, classic football shirts, has revealed that it will be coming to Dublin this November.

Taking place at 10 South Anne Street, fans will be able to get their hands on brilliant retro designs such as Ireland’s 2002 World Cup kit, Manchester United’s glorious mid-90s numbers and plenty of other classics from the club and international scene.

With Christmas on the horizon, you’re sure to pick up the perfect gift for a soccer-mad loved one or plenty of bits for yourself if you’re that way inclined. The store will be open from Tuesday November 5 until Sunday November 10 from 10am until 7pm and you can find out more information here.
