A Dublin Cinema Will Be Showing Both ‘It’ Movies Back To Back Next Month

It’s a common occurrence that when a sequel hits the big screen, movie fans spend time frantically Googling what happened at the end of the original so as not to be completely lost after the opening scenes.

That need not be the case when It: Chapter Two is released in Dublin though, as the good people at the Lighthouse Cinema have got us covered. Audiences will be reacquainted with everyone’s least favourite creepy clown on Thursday September 6 and to mark the occasion, the Smithfield venue will be screening the 2017 original ahead of the new sequel, giving moviegoers a terrifying double dollop of the murderous Pennywise.

In case you’re not up to speed, the events of the second flick take place 27 years after the original and, as the Losers Club promised, they’re back as adults in a bid to finally defeat their mischievous enemy.

While the young cast of the first movie appear once more, the second film is focused on them as adults with established stars such as James McAvoy, Bill Hader and Jessica Chastain leading the charge.

Both movies are based on the acclaimed Stephen King novel and the 1990 TV mini-series which pretty much haunts the dreams of anyone who watched it to this day.

You can get your tickets, priced at €16 for the Lighthouse double-bill here and if you feel like a taster of what’s in store, you can view the trailer for It: Chapter Two below.
