A Dog Festival Is Happening In Dublin Next Month

Kiara Keane

Gather your four-legged friends and bring them along to this adorable dog festival that’s taking place in Dublin soon.

The Dogs Trust ‘Trustival’ will be celebrating all things dog-related on Sunday, August 18 to mark a whole decade of the charity rescuing and rehoming dogs in Ireland.

Taking place at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Finglas from 12pm to 5pm, you can expect street food, doggie market stalls and plenty of entertainment.

The jam-packed festival will have dog training displays, a ‘Museum of Modern Bark’ filled with dog portraits that will be up for auction by well-known Irish artists, a ‘pup up’ photo booth, canine agony aunts, and a Dog Tales competition with judges Holly Carpenter and Maia Dunphy.

There will also be live acoustic performances from Hudson Taylor and Saarloos as well as more exciting acts to be announced.

Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite from €15 for adults, €8 for children, and €35 for a family of four, plus booking fee – just make sure you add on a free Doggie Ticket to your order if you’d like to bring your own pup along.

You can also make an additional donation to Dogs Trust while buying your tickets, which will go towards the rescuing and rehoming of dogs.

You can find more details about the Dogs Trustival on the charity’s website here.
