The sun is shining (for now) and there’s no shortage of fun and cheap things going on in the city today.
So don’t panic if you haven’t made any plans yet because I’ve done the hard work for you.
From Ireland’s largest summer festival to gorgeous walks in the sun, here’s a few of my top picks to keep you entertained today…
Jazz brunch at the Tram Café
By far one of the most unique cafés in the city, this fully restored tram in Wolfe Tone Square is a great buzzy spot to grab some food to set you up for the day, and they have a lovely outdoor terrace, too. Their fab jazz brunch runs every Sunday from 2.30pm to 5pm and admission is always free.

Spend the day at Ireland’s largest summer festival
Taking place in the beautiful surrounds of Merrion Square, Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular has everything from circus performances to a vintage funfair and delicious grub at the Just Eat street food world market.
It’s taking place from 12pm to 8pm today and you can find more information on their website here.

Go for drinks in the sun at McGarry’s Bar
Escape the madness of town and settle into the beer garden at this great Harold’s Cross spot for the afternoon with a cold pint. You can stroll along the canal to get here and they even have an on-site BBQ for when you start to feel hungry – what more could you want?

Take a walk around the Howth Head peninsula
One of the best places in Dublin to spend a sunny Sunday. There are some seriously stunning views along the roughly 6km walk around Howth Head, or you can opt for the more manageable 3km cliff path route. Whichever one you go for, it’s a sure-fire way to blow away the cobwebs.

Bingo at The George
If you’re looking for a fun Sunday night activity, then look no further than the weekly Bingo night at The George. Shirley Temple Bar hosts this night every Sunday and you can expect plenty of laughs, fantastic drag and a cash prize of €300 for the lucky winner.
