A Two-Day Food Festival Is Coming To North Dublin

This would be a weekend well spent.

Flavours of Fingal, on the 23rd and 24th of June, is back for another jam-packed weekend of events. It combines the best bits of a food festival and an agricultural show in the beautiful gardens of Newbridge House and Farm in Donabate, Co Dublin.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the things you can expect over the weekend.

Food

There will be plenty of delicious artisan food and lots of local produce to enjoy as well as live cookery demonstrations and tasty craft beer and cider stalls.

Music

The lineup has yet to be confirmed but festival organisers promise there will be plenty of acts throughout the weekend.

Vintage Vehicles

The Fingal Vintage Society will be putting on a fantastic display of vintage vehicles. Perfect for car enthusiasts and history buff alike.

Petting Zoo

Yeah that’s right. A Petting Zoo.

Sheepdog Trials

Certified good boys in action.

Going Green

The festival is free for anyone arriving on foot or using public transport.

  • On Foot – From Donabate Village, you can also avail of the Toots shuttle road-train from Donabate Train Station
  • Shuttle Bus – free shuttle buses will be available from Balbriggan, Skerries/Lusk, Swords and Donabate/Portrane. See timetables here. Buses will stop at Dublin Bus stops on these routes.
  • Train – Donabate Train Station is only a 10 minute walk from Newbridge House and Farm or alternatively avail of the free Toots shuttle road-train from Donabate Train Station! See www.irishrail.ie for timetables
  • Dublin Bus – the 33b from Swords to the Gate to Newbridge House & Farm

For patrons arriving by car, tickets can be purchased in advance for on-site parking or the Park ‘n’ Ride facility.
