A Huge Dog Walk Is Taking Place In Dublin This Weekend

James Fenton

Are you a dog owner who loves bringing your pooch out to meet like-minded canines? Perhaps you’re dogless but love nothing better that petting random people’s mutts? Either way, this 5km dog walk this weekend looks like the event for you.

Dogs Unite will take place at the Phoenix Park this Sunday (September 23) and those with or without dogs are invited to come along, get some fresh air and enjoy the company of man’s best friend for the afternoon.

It’s all in aid of Irish Guide Dogs For The Blind and proceeds from tickets, which cost €10, will go towards supporting the services of the charity and help those who are vision impaired as well as families of children with autism. If doing a great deed isn’t enough to entice you, each dog on the walk will receive a cape to acknowledge their ‘super dog’ status.

We’re struggling to think of a better way to spend a Sunday. It all gets underway at 11.30am this Sunday and the meeting point is at the Pope’s Cross car park.

More information can be found on the Facebook event page here.
