With Ireland looking in decent shape to qualify for Euro 2020, excitement is building ahead of next summer's festival of football.
For the first time ever, the quadrennial European Championship will take place across the continent, with 12 cities scheduled to host matches throughout the tournament. Seeing as Dublin is one of them, plans have been announced to transform the city into a football hub throughout June and July next year.
At the forefront of UEFA's announcement is the plan to place a Football Village in Merrion Square which is set to cater for up to 10,000 visitors from June 12 until July 12. As well as showing all of the matches on the big screen, there will be 'artistic and cultural performances, music, entertainment, food and drinks.'
Away from Merrion Square, there will be another public viewing location set up at Dublin Castle and entry is set to be free of charge.

It sounds like there'll be a bit of a buzz around the city next summer and we're already planning our annual leave. Dublin is due to host three group games (June 15, June 19 and June 24) as well as a last 16 knockout game on June 30.
