The weekend is just around the corner and there’s plenty going on in the city to keep you entertained, from brand new dinner spots to a comedy festival and a whole lot more.
There’s no need for FOMO this weekend if you’re not one of the lucky ones heading off on your holidays, so read on and get planning…
Be amazed by the Bray Air Display
Okay, technically it’s not in Dublin, but it’s only a short hop away on the DART. Taking place this Saturday, July 27 and Sunday 28, the Bray Air Display will have plenty going on across the weekend to keep everyone entertained, including a seafront funfair, food village and helicopter rides over Bray Head.
Highlights to keep an eye out for are the spectacular Royal Jordanian Falcons aerobatic team, dare-devil displays by Ireland’s Flying Dentist, Eddie Goggins, and the Irish Parachute Club and The Black Knights freefall onto Bray beach – you can check out the full weekend schedule on Bray Air Display’s website.
Head to a brand new members club launch
Dejavu is a new night launching at Harry’s on the Green that’s intent on challenging the dying club scene in the city.
The first event kicks off this Friday from 10pm til late – it’s over 21s only and will have everything from a shisha lounge to bottle service. You can find more details and buy your tickets via Eventbrite here.
Catch a film at Dublin’s only rooftop cinema
Jam Park’s line-up of rooftop cinema screenings is in full swing for the summer and next up is This Is Spinal Tap on Sunday evening.
Tickets are €5 plus booking fee which even includes a free drink on arrival – either a pint, house spirit or glass of house wine. You can take a look at Jam Park’s full summer schedule here.
Check out some top comedy at the Iveagh Gardens
The Vodafone Comedy Festival is kicking off on Thursday evening and will run until Sunday, July 28 with an impressive line-up of over 130 international and Irish comedians.
The jam-packed line-up includes the likes of Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran, Deirdre O’Kane, David O’Doherty, Foil, Arms & Hog and Aoife Dooley – check out the full programme on the festival website.

And we all have our fingers crossed for blue skies and sunshine all weekend! 😎
Grab dinner and drinks at a brand new city centre spot
The Well just opened up on Stephens Green and is ideal for grabbing drinks outside if it’s sunny, or in the slick main room if the Irish weather continues to let us down. Half slick bar area, half restaurant, The Well serves up unreal pizzas courtesy of Dublin Pizza Company and is definitely worth checking out this weekend.
