The Sugar Club Is Showing These Two Classics Back-To-Back Next Month

James Fenton

In the pantheon of classic Christmas movies, there haven’t been too many released in the 21st century. Love Actually and The Holiday spring to mind but the real classic era is arguably the latter part of the last century with the likes of Home Alone, Miracle On 34th Street and The Muppets Christmas Carol entering our lives.

One recent addition which is right up there though is Elf, which is not only a Christmas movie you can watch time and again, it’s some of Will Ferrell’s finest work. If you’re one of the few people who has yet to see it, or you just want to continue the tradition of watching it every single Christmas, then you’re in luck.

The Sugar Club is putting on a matinee screening of the festive comedy and if that’s not enough to get you excited, it will be screened directly after a screening of everyone’s favourite Disney movie/Shakespeare adaptation The Lion King.

The double whammy will take place on Saturday December 8 with The Lion King kicking off at 1pm followed by Elf at 4pm. Tickets for both shows cost €10 so for just 20 quid you could spend the day kicking back to two absolute classics. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?
