No Sunday plans this week? Look no further.

Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park will be hosting an Experience Japan event which will showcase all the best elements of Far Eastern culture.

The event is being put on by the Experience Japan group and will feature everything from drum performances to J-Pop dancing, as well as a traditional sake barrell-opening ceremony and an interesting fusion of Irish and Japanese music by Philip Horan, Junshi Murakami and Rie Maruyama.

Of course, you'll have the chance to taste the best of Japanese food and try your hand at traditional Japanese crafts.

The event is always a fun day out and is a great way to wrap up the weekend for people (and pooches) of all ages. Shuttle buses will run from Parkgate Street in the city centre between 11am and 5.30pm. More information can be found here.
