One Luas Will Be Transformed Into A Restaurant This Tuesday

You’ve probably been in cities around the world where trams or trains are converted into restaurants where you can eat and get a slow tour of the city. This week in Dublin the same thing will be happening on our very own Luas, sort of. As part of Dine in Dublin which is happening this week, one Luas will be turned into a restaurant and parked at St Stephen’s Green serving food from three popular restaurants.

The restaurants taking part are Mao, The Church and TGI Fridays and the event will be this Tuesday 24th starting at 13.30. A good first step but we’d love to see something that moves a little rather than just being parked in the one place. Maybe when the two lines get joined up we could have one of those vintage trams on the line with a full restaurant on traveling the city at all times. Now that would be a cool way to see Dublin.
