The Sugar Club Has Just Announced It Will Kick Off Its Cult Classic Season With ‘Blade Runner’

The Sugar Club have just announced that they will open their Cult Classic Cinema Month with Blade Runner: The Final Cut.

The venue is known for its movie seasons, and this month they celebrate films that have earned the title ‘cult classic.’

Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young, is sci-fi thriller set in the now not-so-futuristic setting of 2019. It follows Ford’s Richard Deckard in his hunt for rogue androids loose in LA.

This version is the director’s preferred cut of the visually stunning movie, which is bleaker than the original but a more wonderfully immersive film.

Get down for The Sugar Club’s ‘pre movie hour’ and grab yourself a good seat, try one of their gourmet pizzas, or snack out on their complimentary popcorn and peanuts, before washing it all down with a crispy pint, a classic cocktail or something from their wine list.

There’s also a ‘post movie hour’ where you can wind down and finish your drinks to some music based around the soundtrack and era of the film.

Other cult classics you can catch at the venue this month include The Warriors, Goodfellas, Boogie Nights, Fight Club, and The Big Lebowski.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut will be screened at 9.30pm this Friday, September 2. If you’re up for it, book fast: there are only 150 seats up for grabs. You can book your tickets for the event here.
