Temple Bar is the most iconic part of the city. The city's creative and cultural quarter is always a place that tourists flock to, to discover the music, art, food and atmosphere of Dublin. While many locals feel it has been ruined by tourism, once you leave the main square there are so many amazing bookstores, cafes, galleries, bars and markets to enjoy.
I love Temple Bar and make sure to visit every weekend to pop into the Farmer's Market, the vintage shops (Siopella, Folkster, Shotsy), the National Photography Gallery and The Gutter Bookstore.
When it comes to food you can't beat Roasted Brown for coffee- they also serve the most amazing teas and Wildflour Bakery cakes, Staple Foods does incredible healthy lunches, Elephant and Castle is great for when you need a big tasty feed, and Chameleon is a must visit for mouth watering Indonesian food. If you're trying to avoid the tourist traps when it comes to drinks then check out The Norseman for beautiful craft beers and Vintage Cocktail Club for some incredible, over the top cocktails.
