We're not going to go into too much detail, because it only opened tonight and it's still finding its feet – but we headed down to check it out, and here's what we do know:
It's called Zozimus (see, we don't miss a trick);
It's named after a blind Dublin-born ballad-singer, from the early 19th century;
It's off South Anne Street, on the ground floor of the Sporting Emporium and out the back of 37 Dawson Street and Sam's;
It is BEAUTIFUL;
There's no exposed red brickwork, no red filament lightbulbs and no bottles on walls – it's not exactly bursting with originality, but it's ornate and really gorgeous inside;
And it looks like this
And even the toilets are beautiful
Always a good sign
If you can't find it, look for the umbrellas
They're not exactly difficult to spot.
It's quiet right now...
But you know immediately when a place like this is going to make a big splash – and Zozimus is one of those places.
Get there this weekend (or tonight) before it gets swamped.
