Good news, Dubliners.

Irish software firm Intercom has announced its plans to create 100 new jobs in the capital over the next year.

Founded by four Irish guys back in 2011, the company helps online businesses to communicate with their customers – the “Whatsapp of customer service”, as they say – and is based in Dublin and San Francisco.

This latest round of growth follows some serious investment – and the new recruits will join some 140 people the company HQ in St Stephen’s Green.

It’s also known to online businesses all over the world for its excellent blog and podcast, although VP Paul Adams told Newstalk this morning that these jobs would be primarily in the engineering, design and product management areas.
