The shortlist of actors who are being considered to play a young Han Solo in an upcoming Star Wars movie was revealed yesterday and Irish actor made the cut.
According to Variety, 23-year-old Jack Reynor (who appeared in Transformers: Age Of Extinction and last year's Macbeth) grew up between Wicklow and Dublin and has made it to a shortlist of eight actors who are all vying for the iconic role.
Have a look at everybody who list the list below.
1. Jack Reynor
2. Miles Teller (Whiplash, Fantastic 4)
3. Blake Jenner (Glee)
4. Emory Cohen (Brooklyn, The Place Beyond The Pines)
5. Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride)
6. Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief)
7. Ansel Elgort (The Fault In Our Stars)
8. Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Scrubs)
So Reynor joins a list of candidates that includes Clint Eastwood's son and James Franco's little brother.
There's no clear frontrunner as of yet, but it bodes well that Reynor actually has more of a young Harrison Ford look than many of the others.
Plus he's no stranger to blockbusters, having already starred in the fourth Transformers movie. Superstardom looks very much within reach.
Whoever gets the role, it's likely to be decided in the next few weeks so the actor can make a cameo appearance in this December's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
