Further cementing his image as a lover of Irish history, Liam Neeson recently recited ‘Easter 1916’ by WB Yeats for an RTÉ programme, and it makes for stirring viewing.

The star of Michael Collins and recent narrator of the series 1916 read the poem for A Fanatic Heart, a documentary presented by Bob Geldof on the iconic Irish poet WB Yeats.

A Fanatic Heart: Geldof On Yeats will be aired at 10.15pm, March 24.
